The Emporium - Headquarters

Our main operations building, The Emporium faces Rock Hall Harbor and it is here that a large part of our business is transacted. The lower floor is devoted to The Cat's Paw Gift Shop, our Hardware Chandlery and our Service Department, as well as The Galley Snack Bar, providing self-service fresh coffee free every day, as well as sodas, juices, sparkling water and deli sandwiches.

The Carriage House

The one-and-a-half story Carriage House is distinguished by its characteristic roofline and a second floor with a balcony that we call, appropriately, The Upper Deck. This "room with a view" is a very comfortable place where you can go to relax, enjoy a book from our lending library, or play a quiet board game.

Many family groups, cruising clubs and transient boaters visit throughout the summer to use the poolside and harborside picnic areas. Just outside the swimming pool is a bricked patio with two built-in barbecues. We can accommodate larger groups at the south end of the harbor, where we have several more picnic tables and more barbecues situated in the shade under trees. On the patio, alongside The Emporium, you will find more umbrella-shaded tables - great for a quick snack, waiting for shoppers, or just watching the passing scene.

We take great pride in our flower gardens which brighten every corner of our grounds from early spring to the late fall. We have also installed a Colonial Vegetable Garden where guests are invited to help themselves to fresh salad fixings.
